Introduction to Scent Work

This course is designed for anyone wanting to learn scent work. This course will provide a foundation for scenting sports, working canines, deer tracking, or just as an outlet for you and your dog to take your training to the next level.

Odor detection / scent work can be applied to many things:

Sport Work ( AKC )

Drug detection

Explosives

Bed Bug detection

Termite detection

Deer tracking

Antler shed hunting

Rodent control

medical detection

and so much more!



AKC approved scents will be provided along with scent cans.

Participants can also bring their own scent

This class will be a mix of conversation, PowerPoint and hands on: please dress accordingly and bring necessary equipment and gear for your dog: Lead, harness, water bowl, treats, reward item, etc.

Professional K9 Handler Decoy Seminar Tier 3

Level Up from OPOTA Certification

Are you ready to up your operational ability!? This 3 day seminar is designed to push the Handler and K9 to the next level. The class provides real-world experience-based training. Handlers can take this training back to their departments and utilize to build effective training plans, enhancing the K9 units’ operational effectiveness.

As a department and a K9 handler this is the starting point of developing an elite K9.  Our Tier 3 seminar is for new and experienced handlers that want to go beyond OPOTA certification and push the boundaries of K9 operations.

Upon successful completion of Tier 3 Handler and K9 can continue to our Tier 2 and Tier 1 programs.

Join us for an intro to scent work and deer tracking. This is a beginners course covering the fundamentals of scent work and deer tracking. Our canine educators bring an easy and practical approach to getting started in these areas of game tracking. We are bringing a HANDS ON and immersive experience to help you and your dog go to the next level.

This skill set is used to launch you and your dog into more advance skills and prepare you for other competitions, events, therapy work, emotional support work, service work and more!

Are you ready?

All dogs are welcome! It doesn’t matter where you are at in your training journey, you and your dog are welcome. We will be using this class to introduce, prepare and evaluate dogs that are ready. We are excited to spend the day working with you and your dog. This is a great opportunity to test what you already know, try something new and hang out with like minded dog owners!

Are you a dog professional? Walk or take care of your own and even other people’s dogs? Are you prepared for natural disasters? Do you know what to do if your dog gets injured… minor or life threatening?

You could be the difference. Being ready is only a small part of the solution, being calm and practiced and prepared IS the solution.

Our Canine First Aid and Disaster Preparedness class is taught by two of our canine educators with combined experience in veterinary medicine, combat medicine, FEMA certified and certified in animal basic and advanced life saving care. Our instructors have real life examples and bring the conversations to a level everyone can understand.
